Our Story

Welcome to Wing & Petal — our farm, our home, and a piece of living family history!

A few years ago, when we got married, we were gifted part of the land that’s been in Arthur’s family for generations. It’s the very land that grew the food Arthur’s great-grandfather once brought into town to sell. Now, over 100 years later, we’re honored to carry that tradition forward with muddy boots, baby goats, and a modern twist.

Getting our USDA registration was a milestone. But more than that, we’re building something rooted in peace, faith, and grit. The land grounds us. The work refines us. And the joy? We get to share that with you.

The name Wing & Petal comes from our family’s love of birds and flowers. When we’re working, swallows swirl above us, catching pests mid-air. Our chickens scratch between herbs and blooms, helping themselves to bugs and leaving behind golden-yolked eggs. Arthur’s mom, Grace, tends the coop and surrounds it with flowers— just the way she likes it.

We farm using organic practices, low-till methods, and companion planting. Every season, we explore new ways to steward the land with care— from harvesting rainwater for micro-irrigation to improving our woodlands with support from the NRCS and USDA.

Thank you for being here. Whether you’re buying produce, following along, or just curious, you’re part of this story, too.

Welcome to Wing & Petal.
